Coach corner

You never stop learning…

How many of you have decided to have a lesson in the past due to one (or both) of the following:

  1. You left your game to gradually decline and found yourself in dire straits; or
  2. You had a match/competition at the weekend but weren't playing well and didn't want to embarrass yourself

At the start of a lesson, we ask our clients a few questions to find out how they've been playing, their bad shots/tendencies as well as finding out what they hope to get out of the lesson. So often we hear the aforementioned comments, but why haven't they come to see us sooner? We'd always back ourselves to offer professional guidance and expertise in a way that will help our clients to improve.

No one is perfect or beyond coaching; everyone has something to gain

There's nothing more satisfying then seeing someone leave a lesson with a new-found confidence, having arrived 60 minutes earlier on the edge of throwing the clubs in the back of the garage for the foreseeable. We're not miracle workers - far from it - but we can certainly help you to get more enjoyment out of the game, and maybe win a thing or two along the way. Wouldn't that be nice?

Thinking back to your last few rounds of golf, has there been anything that has consistently caused you trouble?

Maybe you struggle to get it out of bunkers first time? Maybe you repeatedly stand over a putt with no idea about which way it is going to break? How many fairways have you hit over the last few rounds? If you're not hitting the fairways, how can you expect to hit greens and shoot better scores? How often do you hit the green from 100 yards and in?

Whether all of these scenarios ring true for you or only one, you have an area of your game which we can help you to improve. Rather than watching video tutorials on YouTube or taking tips from your playing partners, come and spend some of your hard-earned money on a lesson with a fully qualified PGA professional.

We're here to help, so let us!
