Shop news

Here in the pro shop, we understand that we can't stock every product from every golfing brand around, however if you want an item that we don't stock, we offer you the Click & Collect solution.

This gives you access to my huge online catalogue where you can buy virtually any product in the golfing industry and all at hugely competitive prices.

How it works:

  1. Visit, or click here and add products to your shopping basket
  2. At the checkout, select 'collect in store' and nominate High Beech
  3. Collect your orders from the pro shop at your own leisure

You can then also take advantage of our professional opinions and great fitting service which is an added bonus over buying from online retailers!

Course news

Now that the winter is well and truly here things have started to quieten down a bit. Obviously the cold and wet weather isn't going to get the blood racing in terms of thinking about a game of golf, but don't let this stop you. If you are sitting at home on the weekend and realise you have an hour or two's window where the weather is good and you want to get out the house, come on down to High Beech and enjoy nine holes around one of our two courses. Bring your loved ones, children or friends and enjoy a day out together!

Keep an eye out in future weeks for some special offers available this Christmas at High Beech.

Tip of the week

Finding a few extra yards…

You've probably noticed that your best drive isn't quite travelling as far in the air as it was a few months back. Don't worry, you're not losing your power, that's what happens when the air is cooler and fairways are softer.

To squeeze a few extra yards out of your drives during the winter, try these three tips:

1. Tee your ball a little higher and move it forward in your stance to encourage an upward angle of attack, therefore adding loft.

2. Grip the club a little lighter than usual, which will help your wrists hinge more easily for a steeper angle of attack to promote a higher flight.

3. Load more weight onto your right side than usual, which also creates a steeper swing for longer carries.

Give this a go and let us know how you get on, and if you want help with any aspect of your game, don't hesitate to speak to us about a lesson or two. Get in touch here.

We hope you enjoy the remainder of our newsletter and have a great weekend!
